Overview: We are seeking a skilled bilingual Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. Southern Dental is a well established Laveen dental practice offering a full range of dental services. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help ensure excellent patient care. Minimum one year dental assisting experience is required. Duties include but are not limited to: - Prepare patients for dental work - Sterilize dental instruments and tools - Assist the dentist during procedures as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays - Educate patients on oral hygiene - Maintain accurate patient records Skills include but are not limited to: The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: - Knowledge of dental terminology - Familiarity with dental software - Understanding of dental coding - Knowledge of infection control Must-have Skills: - dental assisting - 1 year - bilingual English - Spanish speaking Competitive pay starting at $22/hr + training and a full benefit package including health insurance, dental coverage, paid time off and holiday pay.
