Responsibilities Provide preventative dental care including scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and root planing Take radiographs and impressions as directed by the dentist Assess and document oral health (periodontal conditions, lesions, restorations, etc.) Assist the dentist during exams and record findings and treatment plans Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and treatment recommendations Administer nitrous oxide, oxygen, and local anesthetic as permitted Perform oral cancer screenings and evaluate overall oral tissue health Maintain accurate patient records and charting Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments Apply sealants, topical agents, and remove excess cement as needed Support patient flow by escorting patients and coordinating scheduling/recall Skills & Qualifications: Licensed Dental Hygienist (state requirements apply) Proficient in scaling, root planing, radiographs, and ultrasonic instrumentation Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and dental best practices Strong communication and patient care skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team player with a professional and positive attitude Work Location: In-person (not remote) Familiarity with dental software and standard office equipment Job Types: Part-time, Full-time Pay: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Work Location: In person
