Registered Dental Hygienist - Accent Dental Center - Columbia, MO

Job Overview: We are looking for a full or part time hygienist for our relationship-based dental practice. Under female ownership, we are looking for someone with a team mentality who is eager to develop relationships with their patients, and to provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Assess patients' oral health and identify any signs of periodontal disease or other dental issues - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and ensuring patient comfort - Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation using electronic health record systems - Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient care Requirements: - Valid Dental Hygiene license in Missouri - Proficiency in using dental software programs for medical documentation - Familiarity with medical imaging technology for capturing dental x-rays - Strong understanding of infection control protocols and adherence to HIPAA regulations - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other dental professionals - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced dental office Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $42.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
