Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for every patient. Responsibilities Assist dentists with a variety of procedures including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring precision and efficiency. Perform chairside assisting using aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all medical and dental documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Measure vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient assessments and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health practices, procedures, and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness. Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties when needed, including appointment scheduling and patient communication. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate effective communication within the team. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix Hands-on experience with chairside assisting in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or other specialties is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes aligned with OSHA standards. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and dental coding practices. Excellent communication skills suitable for interacting with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics.
