Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and evaluate vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to monitor patient health status Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Conduct patient assessments, review medical histories, and document findings accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology Support the clinical team with chairside assisting during various procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments in compliance with HIPAA regulations Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Experience working with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred but not required Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical coding practices Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry clinics is highly desirable Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and professionally Familiarity with medical records management, documentation review, and HIPAA compliance standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives by providing top-tier dental hygiene services.
