Dental Assistant - Neighborhood Dental - Las Vegas, NV

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist during procedures and providing excellent patient care. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking dental radiographs (x-rays) and providing instruments and materials - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines - Take and record patient medical history and vital signs - Provide post-operative instructions to patients - Perform basic dental laboratory procedures, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns, scanning for permanent crowns - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed -Familiar with dentures Skills: - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Proficient in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques - Familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures - Experience with dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Knowledge of Eaglesoft or Dentrix dental software systems is preferred - Ability to operate CAD (computer-aided design) software for dental restorations is a plus - Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, such as digital radiography or cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
