We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or dental assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and supporting the overall efficiency of our practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments. Perform chairside assisting with precision, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, and preparing dental materials. Operate and maintain electronic health record (EHR) Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation of patient information. Apply infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Take digital X-rays, ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal outcomes. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments Qualifications Certified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification or relevant dental assisting credentials. Proven experience working in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Proficiency with Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately and efficiently Strong understanding of dental terminology related to prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
