EXAMPLE OF DUTIES This position supports professional dental care within the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Phoenix by assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. As a Dental Assistant, you will perform the following duties: Chairside Support: Assist the Dentist during procedures by preparing tools, charting findings, and managing suction and irrigationProcedure Preparation: Set up and break down workspaces, sterilize instruments, and mix materials for dental useRadiograph Processing: Expose, process, mount, and review radiographs for clarity and diagnostic qualityImpression Work: Take dental impressions and prepare diagnostic casts for evaluationRecord Management: Organize, file, and retrieve dental records in line with required guidelinesPatient Guidance: Explain preventative and post-procedure care in a clear and supportive mannerInterested in learning more?
