Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supporting high-quality dental care. As a Dental Office Assistant, you will play a vital role in managing patient interactions, supporting clinical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage appointment scheduling using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during procedures by providing chairside support, including handling dental instruments and managing patient comfort. Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records, including medical coding for billing purposes. Support administrative tasks such as answering phones, verifying insurance information, and managing patient records efficiently. Experience Candidates should possess previous experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical documentation is essential. Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. A background in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in chairside assisting, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques will contribute to success in this role. Certification or experience in X-ray operation and medical imaging is preferred; however, comprehensive training will be provided for qualified applicants eager to expand their skills in dental assisting within a supportive team environment.
