Job Overview We are a modern patient focused dental office in the heart of South Miami. Looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our amazing team. Ideal candidate: * Team player with positive attitude * Reliable, organized and professional * Excellent communication skills * Fluent in English * Experienced dental assistant Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures. Ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) Dentrix Take vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure a positive experience. Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting treatment areas, and following OSHA guidelines. Support front desk operations and assist dental hygienist throughout the day Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred; familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. Hands-on experience with dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and medical documentation is required. Knowledge of EMR systems including Dentrix. Understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance is critical for maintaining a safe environment. Assist dental hygiene team. Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training in medical coding or advanced imaging techniques is advantageous.
