Solo practice owner & we offer flexibility with days & hours, just ask! Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans to improve their dental health. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies. Support infection control practices by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures diligently. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification. Proven experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Experience working in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry settings is highly preferred. Ability to perform medical coding, review documentation accurately, and manage electronic medical records (EMR systems). Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when needed. Familiarity with chairside assisting techniques, medical imaging procedures, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review.
