Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and proficiency in open dental software systems. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking X-rays and managing medical imaging as required. Document patient information accurately in Open Dental while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Conduct vital signs assessments and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Manage sterilization of instruments and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology including 3D scanners. Must know how to make temporary crowns, inlays, and take alginate impressions. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices. Proficiency in Open Dental. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages - WE LOVE A PERSONAL TOUCH.
