Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine orthodontic needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Apply various orthodontic appliances such as braces, aligners, retainers, and expanders with precision and care. Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive dental care for patients requiring multidisciplinary treatment. Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information and safety. Utilize dental imaging technology and medical documentation tools like Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix to record treatment progress accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and expected outcomes to foster understanding and compliance. Maintain detailed medical records, document procedures clearly, and ensure compliance with all medical and dental terminology standards. Requirements Valid state license to practice as an Orthodontist with current certification in orthodontics or specialty training in orthodontics. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or related fields is highly desirable. Proficiency in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft or Dentrix for patient management and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques. Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other advanced procedures confidently. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and delivering compassionate service. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with legal standards. Prior experience working in a busy dental clinic environment or dental office setting is preferred.
