Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health and delivering exceptional patient care. Part time position is available for Thursdays. We are looking for an experienced, caring, energetic registered hygienist to work in our established Castro Valley office. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing dental records to ensure safe and effective treatment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies to maintain healthy smiles. Utilize Dentrix Ascend for accurate documentation of periodontal conditions, medical coding, and updating electronic medical records (EMR). Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or general dentistry setting. Familiarity with taking dental xrays including digital xray techniques. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and medical imaging procedures. Pay: $71.00 - $72.00 per hour Work Location: In person
