Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Buffalo, NY
Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using Epic software - Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience - X-ray certification required - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in medical documentation and coding - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
