Job Summary We are looking for a full-time Lead Pediatric Dental Assistant to lead our clinical team. In this role, you will do more than just assist the dentist. You will guide other assistants, manage daily patient flow, and make sure our clinic runs like clockwork. The perfect candidate loves working with kids, stays positive under pressure, and has strong leadership skills. Days and Hours: Mondays/Wednesdays 8:00am-4:30pm Thursdays (alternating) 10:00am-3:00pm Fridays 9:00am-3:00pm Key Responsibilities Team Leadership : Train and mentor new dental assistants. Create the daily team schedule and assign clinical duties. Patient Care : Help children feel safe, calm, and happy during their visits. Talk to parents about their child's treatment plan and home care. Clinical Assistance : Provide four-handed chairside assistance during exams, fillings, and nitrous oxide sedation procedures. Office Flow : Manage the patient flow in the back office to keep waiting times short. Inventory & Safety : Order all clinical supplies. Keep track of stock and stay within budget. Ensure strict infection control and clean all instruments daily. Records : Take high-quality digital X-rays. What We Are Looking For Experience : At least 2 to 3 years of dental assisting experience. Experience in a pediatric or orthodontic setting is highly preferred. Licenses : CPR certification is required. A Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential is a plus. Skills : Strong communication and customer service skills. You must know how to keep tasks organized in a fast-paced environment. Personality : A warm, patient, and playful attitude. You must love working around children! Prior knowledge of Dexis and Open Dental is a plus, but not required. Bilingual Spanish/ English is another plus! Pay and Benefits Salary : $22-$26/Hr based on experience.
