River City Pediatric Dentistry is seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric dental team. We are looking for a confident, dependable, and team-oriented EFDA who enjoys working with children and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Our office is led by Dr. Kelley Downs, a compassionate pediatric dentist who is passionate about creating positive dental experiences for children and families. Dr. Kelley values teamwork, professionalism, efficiency, and patient-centered care. This position is ideal for a EFDA who is comfortable with restorative procedures, enjoys working closely with both doctor and children, and understands the importance of reliability, communication, and teamwork in a busy pediatric office. Position Responsibilities Assist during restorative and pediatric dental procedures Perform expanded functions duties in accordance with Florida regulations Support hygiene flow and assist hygienists as needed Help children feel safe, comfortable, and at ease during treatment Professionally communicate with parents regarding treatment and patient care Maintain organization, efficiency, and professionalism throughout the clinical day Work collaboratively with the entire team to support patient flow and overall office success Qualifications Florida Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification required Previous pediatric dental experience preferred Strong restorative experience required Hygiene assisting experience preferred Comfortable working with children, including anxious or special needs patients Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude Looking for a long-term opportunity with a stable and supportive team Schedule Monday–Thursday 6:45 AM – 4:30 PM What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Established and supportive pediatric dental team Positive office culture with strong teamwork Benefits package after the 90 day introductory period Long-term growth opportunity within a respected pediatric dental organization If you are an experienced EFDA who enjoys pediatric dentistry, restorative procedures, and working alongside a collaborative team that values patient care and professionalism, we would love to hear from you.
