Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. Ortho experience is a big plus ! In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and assisting orthodontists/pedodontists in delivering high-quality treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, systems, and documentation, as well as experience with X-ray procedures and aseptic techniques. Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment. Take dental X-rays and ensure proper documentation of patient records. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient histories and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked. Adhere to safety protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a clean working environment. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and treatment outcomes. Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and documentation practices is essential. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to orthodontics is preferred. Experience in assisting within a dental or orthodontic practice is highly desirable. Proficiency in X-ray techniques and understanding of prosthodontics and endodontics is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.
