Dental Hygienist (Part-time, Wed&Thurs) - West Tampa Dental - Tampa, FL

We are offering a part time position for Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am-5pm We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish & English speaking) Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. We are a small family practice that prioritize professionalism, quality care and happiness for both our patients and our team. Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. You’ll help dentists decide treatments for teeth and gum diseases. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases. If you have a gentle, steady hand and great bedside manner, we’d like to meet you. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination. Take X-rays and Itero scanning Conduct initial mouth screenings and review health history Comprehensive periodontal evaluations and assisting dentist with selecting appropriate treatments Dental hygiene procedures (prophy, SRP, etc) Patient education Maintain documentation and charts on each patient (Dentrix) Translation from English to Spanish if needed Monitor supplies Sterilize dental instruments properly Skills Friendly, gentle, respectful, great bedside manner Proven experience as Dental Hygienist Organization and attention to detail Outstanding communication skills Professionalism Values teamwork Knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Valid license to practice Job Types: Temporary, Contract, Part-time Pay: From $40.00 per hour Education: Associate (Preferred) Language: Spanish and English (Required) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Work Location: In person
