Job Title: Pediatric Dental Hygiene Assistant Location: 1204 N Center St., Hickory, NC Company: Alexandra Davis Harvey, DMD PLLC Job Type: Full-time Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:40am-5:00pm, with lunch break 1-2pm About Us: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team. Job Description: As a Pediatric Dental Hygiene Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and ensuring that our young patients receive the best care possible. Your responsibilities will include performing coronal polishing, taking radiographs, managing patient records, assisting with sterilization, and creating a friendly environment for children and their parents. Key Responsibilities: · Coronal polish patients during their cleaning appointments. · Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment. · Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). · Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout appointments. · Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices. · Manage dental records and update patient information. · Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures, as needed. · Ensure the dental office complies with all safety and sterilization guidelines. Qualifications: · Dental Assistant status. · Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · CPR certification. · Training in nitrous oxide, sterilization and infection control, dental office emergencies, and dental radiography. · Completed coursework in coronal polishing is a plus, training will be offered if not.
