Dental Assistant / Hygiene Coordinator Illuminate Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and patient-focused Dental Assistant / Hygiene Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dental professional who enjoys both clinical patient care and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will help support our hygiene department by ensuring a productive schedule, maintaining strong patient relationships, and assisting with clinical hygiene procedures. Position Responsibilities Hygiene Coordination Schedule hygiene appointments efficiently to maximize productivity Manage recall and reactivation systems Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email regarding appointments and continuing care Monitor and support hygiene schedule flow throughout the day Help patients schedule recommended treatment and future hygiene visits Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and business team members to support practice goals Clinical Support Take high-quality dental radiographs Perform periodontal charting Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms Assist with patient education and treatment discussions Support clinical team members as needed to ensure exceptional patient care Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of dental experience required Dentrix experience required Excellent communication and phone skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor Comfortable discussing treatment recommendations and scheduling appointments Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys helping patients, takes pride in staying organized, and understands the importance of building lasting relationships.
