Full- Time Dental Assistant Our specialty periodontal and implant practice is accepting resumes for an experienced Dental Assistant. Qualifications include excellent customer service relations, a positive attitude and the ability to multitask. Qualified candidate must possess: Minimum of 2 years dental office experience....Dentrix is a plus Surgical and Implant experience (willing to train the right person) A willingness to learn and be a team player Excellent communication skills Responsibilities would include but not limited to: Prepare, sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintain patient management during dental procedures to make sure the patient is comfortable. (i.e. proper suction, using tools in a gentle manner). Properly transfer instruments to the doctor and/or second Dental Assistant. Assist with exams, periodontal and implant procedures. Perform dental procedure isolation techniques. Keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices. Thorough charting of treatment information in the patients’ dental notes from the doctor. Instruct patients on postoperative instructions and general oral health care. Perform post-operative procedures including suture removal and polishing. Expose diagnostic x-rays and take intra-oral camera pictures (as needed). Take impressions. Type treatment notes from patient’s visit. Provide dental receptionist duties as needed Benefits are available dependent upon hours work.
