Dental Hygienist - Progressive Periodontics and Dental Implants of West Bend - Fond Du Lac, WI

Our office is a fun, family-oriented dental practice with two dental specialists (Periodontists). We need a new member of our dental hygiene team due to a recent retirement. We use Open Dental software and will train you to use the system. We take digital x-rays, have an in-house panorex, and have access to a CBCT at sister facilities in West Bend and Plymouth, WI. Piezo ultrasonic and X-ray Units in each room. Access to the multitude of hand instruments needed for hygiene in periodontal maintenance patients. Access to a diode laser for laser-assisted non-surgical scaling and root planing. Candidates must be willing to learn or use Open Dental Software, take quality x-rays, have strong clinical skills with an attention to detail, and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Performing oral screenings and verify medical and dental history Perform periodontal cleanings / Periodontal Maintenance Educate patients on oral hygiene/at-home care Take quality x-rays (assistants are available to help if needed) Maintain documentation in the patient’s electronic chart Sterilize and disinfect instruments and rooms Deliver compassionate care to patients Administer local anesthesia (preferred, not necessary) Certified to administer Nitrous Oxide (preferred, not necessary) Perform Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing Perform Laser-assisted Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing (will train on-site if not trained) Requirements State of Wisconsin Hygiene License (RDH) or a recent graduate waiting for their license to come Experience preferred Current CPR certificate (BLSC) required Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
