Duties Assist dentist, utilizing your advanced skills as an EFDA. Perform chairside assisting with precision, including taking vital signs and X-ray imaging. Manage and update electronic medical records in Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of treatments, medical history, and dental terminology. Conduct intraoral examinations and provide preliminary assessments by capturing high-quality images and vital signs to aid diagnosis. Support infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and ensure a safe clinical environment. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize efficiency and patient comfort. Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling patients, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental receptionist for smooth clinic flow. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry is required. Demonstrated proficiency with Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Medical records management, and understanding of HIPAA compliance is highly desirable. Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) is required.
