Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant/EDDA to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and other team members to deliver exceptional service in a friendly environment. This a Full-time Monday- Thursday position with alternating Fridays. Office hours: Mon 8a-5p, Tues 7a-3p, Wed 8a-5p, Thurs 7a-3p, Fri 7-1. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Take dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Take vital signs as needed and assist in assessing patient health prior to procedures. Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high standards of patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant of at least 2 years is a MUST Knowledge of general dentistry practices, dental terminology, and dental procedures is essential. Proficiency in using dental software for medical documentation is advantageous. Ability to operate dental equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education. Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
