In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support our patients through education and compassionate service. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent disease and promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental records to inform treatment plans. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment notes, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, preparing treatment areas, and following strict aseptic techniques. Skills Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation review and medical coding. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to ensure precise communication and effective patient care. Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients to create a comfortable environment for children. Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on assessment, communication, and education tailored to diverse patient needs. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice.
