Job Summary Deerflat Dental is currently seeking a full-time hygienist to join our team. We are a close-knit practice that collaborates effectively as a team alongside our owner doctor. Our goal is to deliver the highest quality of care and ensure each patient receives an exceptional dental experience. As part of our hygienist team, responsibilities include providing preventive and periodontal care, patient education on oral health, and assisting with treatment planning. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine passion for the dental profession. Responsibilities Provide exceptional preventive & periodontal care Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs. Take dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Competency in treating periodontal disease with scaling and root planning. Collaborate closely with the Doctor and supportive team Build genuine relationships with patients of all ages Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal standards. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
