Job Summary: If you love dentistry, want to be a part of a 3 person dental assisting team, where each of you have clear responsibilities and you also support each other in caring for patients - you may have found your new dental home. We see patients Monday through Thursday 7:30 till 4 PM and all strive to be out into our lives by 4:30 PM. Occasionally we have team meetings on Friday morning to learn new skills, improve our processes and grow as professionals. Experience is very important as well as certification. However, we are open to training the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the field of dentistry. Compensation is equal to experience. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist chair-side with patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. - Perform necessary dental treatments under the direct supervision of the dentist. - Be X-ray certified and take X-rays as well as assist with post-operative patient care by providing clear instructions. - Maintain accurate patient charts and ensure consent forms are up-to-date for treatments. - Prepare treatment rooms according to established protocols for each patient. - Welcome patients in the waiting room and escort them to examination rooms promptly. - Demonstrate proficiency in handling multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Experience: - Prior experience in a dental practice setting is ideal. - Familiarity with Open Dental or similar dental software systems is a plus. - Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous. - Understanding of general dentistry procedures and terminology. - Previous work as a dental receptionist or treatment coordinator would be an asset. - Spanish speaking is highly valued in our practice.
