Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination. Utilize Softdent for documentation review, scheduling, and record keeping. Monitor patient vital signs before procedures to ensure safety during treatments involving sedation or anesthesia. Adhere to all dental terminology standards and maintain knowledge of anatomy to accurately assist with diagnoses and treatment planning. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment. Strong understanding of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations. .
