Must be available for some Saturday's Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including placing and adjusting braces, appliances, and retainers with precision and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed using aseptic techniques Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about orthodontic treatments, and taking vital signs when needed Skills Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to orthodontics and pediatrics Experience with chairside assisting in orthodontics Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a dental clinic environment Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other specialists.
