Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, excellent chairside assisting skills, and comfortable with Eaglesoft dental software or willing to learn. This role involves providing advanced assistance during dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. We are looking for someone who is confident in placing composite restorations and someone who is positive, dependable and has great communication with patients and coworkers. CEREC experience is great but not required as well as implant experience. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including restorations, oral surgery, endodontics, and implants with precision and professionalism. Perform chairside assisting using aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety. Take X-rays and dental imaging, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Record vital signs and medical history accurately in Eaglesoft Manage medical documentation Operate dental equipment efficiently, including intraoral cameras and digital X-ray machines. Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Maintain a sterile environment through proper infection control protocols and knowledge of anatomy. Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed Demonstrate proficiency in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow and patient comfort. Experience Prior experience working in a dental office Knowledge of dental terminology Experience with Eaglesoft or willingness to learn X-ray certification Demonstrated ability to perform vital signs measurement, chairside assisting, and infection control procedures effectively. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and aseptic techniques for clinical procedures.
