Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Position Summary: NEW GRAD WELCOME We are seeking a highly organized Dental Assistant to join our dynamic general dental practice. Our office provides a full range of dental services, including preventive, restorative, cosmetic, surgical, implant, orthodontic, and emergency care. The Lead Dental Assistant will oversee the back-office, ensure smooth daily operations, maintain the highest standards of patient care, and support the dentist in all clinical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for all dental procedures. Assist the dentist chairside during general, cosmetic, surgical, endodontic, periodontal, orthodontic, and implant procedures. Ensure patient comfort and provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions. Take and process digital radiographs, intraoral scans, and impressions. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC standards. Maintain accurate and complete patient records in the practice management software. Operational Support: Assist in onboarding new clinical team members. Lead daily morning huddles to review schedules, special cases, and procedural needs. Track lab cases and ensure timely delivery for patient appointments. Help manage emergency cases and prioritize accordingly in a busy schedule. Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years of dental assisting experience is a must. Proficiency in all aspects of general dentistry, including surgical and specialty procedures. Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards. Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and team members. Experience with dental software preferred (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar). Work Environment: Frequent interaction with patients of all ages and needs. Involves long periods of standing and wearing personal protective equipment.
