Skilled and experienced Dental hygienist needed for a family focused dental practice. We are looking for an individual who is motivated to make a difference in the lives of the patients they treat. Benefits Employee discount Uniform allowance Retirement plan Health insurance PTO, paid holidays Responsibilities Review/assist medical history intake Ensure patients feel comfortable before their examination Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride or sealants) Educate patients of all ages on proper hygiene care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Take X-rays Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Sterilize dental instruments Monitor supplies Skills Outstanding communication skills Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Good diagnostic & treatment planning skills to prepare Doctor to see patients and to educate patients on needed therapies A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Valid license to practice Computer skills Office hours Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-12:00 pm Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
