Job Overview Join our vibrant pediatric dental team as a Part-Time Hygienist and make a meaningful difference in children's oral health! In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional dental hygiene services tailored specifically for young patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting healthy smiles. We are all digital records and X-rays, Cavitron equipped, nitrous, wireless prophylaxis. etc. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver fun, friendly, and high-quality dental care in a nurturing environment. This position offers flexible hours perfect for those passionate about pediatric dentistry and eager to grow their career in a dynamic setting. We are primarily looking for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, tailored to pediatric patientsâ needs Place dental sealants and applying SDF to incipient lesions Review and update medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review Educate children and parents on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans in an engaging manner Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for everyone Monitor patient assessment outcomes, including medical history updates and dental terminology explanations, to support comprehensive care Skills Experience with Eaglesoft preferred but not required. It is an intuitive system and easy to learn. Ability to perform dental imaging accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety Excellent patient care skills with a focus on communication, patience, and empathy toward children and their families Familiarity with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a dental clinic environment Understanding of medical coding and documentation review processes related to dental procedures This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a positive pediatric dental experience.
