Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays and operate advanced medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology efficiently and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal workflow. Monitor vital signs and assist in pediatric dentistry procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical coding for billing purposes. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental terminology. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge related to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients preferred. Certification or training in dental assisting; familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and medical coding is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
