Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multiple calendars and ensuring optimal patient flow. Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth. Collect payments, process medical collections, and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage medical records, update patient information, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent patient service and addressing inquiries promptly. Assist with insurance verification, intake procedures, and documentation review to support seamless clinic operations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist with clinic or dental office experience. Strong knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Meditech, Epic, or Dentrix; familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus. Proficiency in medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding for accurate billing. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of 10 key or more is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, and health information management practices. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Exceptional phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail in handling medical administrative support tasks. Prior clinic or hospital experience is advantageous; familiarity with dental terminology and office management enhances your fit for this role.
