Duties Assist Dr. Buie during a wide range of procedures including dental implants, dental surgery, dentures, crown and bridge, all-on-x, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and maintaining aseptic technique to uphold infection control standards Take dental radiographs (x-rays) using Nomad, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed to produce high-quality dental imaging for diagnosis Manage patient records using Open Dental, accurately documenting medical history and dental procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and well-being throughout treatment Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks efficiently Assist with the operation of advanced equipment such as intraoral scanners and CBCT imaging tools to enhance diagnostic capabilities Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, on-the-job training in prosthodontics provided Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and applying infection control practices Familiarity with Open Dental for managing dental records and documentation Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with team members and patients Experience with Nomad x-ray procedures, CBCT imaging, and sterilization protocols is essential Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of patient care Certification in radiography (x-ray) and BLS required Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives through compassionate care and technical excellence.
