Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Take X-rays and intraoral pictures Support & promote recommended treatment Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession Ability to prepare and maintain your dental instruments Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Valid license to practice Dental Hygiene Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required) Work Location: In person
