About the Opportunity: As our Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. You will have the opportunity to provide comprehensive hygiene care, educate patients on preventative measures, and contribute to a positive and supportive patient experience. Responsibilities: Provide thorough and gentle dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing as needed. Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral photographs. Perform comprehensive periodontal charting and assessments. Develop and implement individualized patient oral hygiene plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, the importance of preventative care, and treatment options. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to the dentist and other team members through clear and concise handoffs. Document all findings, treatments, and patient interactions accurately and efficiently in our practice management software. Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments according to established protocols. Reappoint patients, emphasizing the value and urgency of their next appointment. Maintain a strong understanding of HIPAA and OSHA compliance and adhere to all safety regulations. Assist with other clinical duties as needed to ensure smooth patient flow. Proactively reach out to patients who are due or overdue for hygiene appointments during open chair time. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program. Current and valid Dental Hygienist license in Texas. CPR certification. Proficiency in taking digital radiographs. Experience with periodontal charting and non-surgical periodontal therapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine ability to connect with patients. Strong patient education skills and a passion for promoting oral health. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Eaglesoft) is a plus.
