Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Stamford, CT

Ideal Smiles of Stamford is looking for both a Full-Time and Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at our modern facility located in the heart of downtown Stamford. We are a rapidly growing private practice committed to providing the highest quality dental care in a gentle, efficient, and professional manner. We pride ourselves on creating a positive experience for both our patients and team members while maintaining a friendly, supportive, and patient-focused environment. Compensation: $55â$65 per hour based on experience. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a friendly and outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and a passion for educating patients on proper oral health and hygiene practices. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills, deep knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, and the ability to help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit. Responsibilities: Review charts and daily hygiene schedule Perform patient screenings, assess oral health conditions, review health history, and complete periodontal and dental charting Take digital radiographs and dental impressions as needed Perform dental cleanings and preventative treatments, including fluoride applications Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and preventative care Provide post-operative and post-treatment instructions to patients Assist dentists with identifying and discussing appropriate treatment options Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient charts Ensure patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout treatment Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness Restock hygiene rooms and maintain supplies as needed Qualifications and Skills: Valid Connecticut Dental Hygienist license Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA and infection control protocols Experience preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication and patient education skills Friendly, professional, and team-oriented personality Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Dental Hygiene degree required Benefits: Benefits available for full-time employees Paid time off and additional benefits available based on employment status and experience Clinical Setting: General Dentistry Schedule: Full-time and part-time opportunities available Some Saturdays required Typical hours between 9:00 AM â 6:00 PM Work Location: In person Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Language: Spanish (Preferred) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Work Location: In person
