Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards, including aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures such as general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring chairside support with precision and professionalism. Take dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate medical imaging equipment like 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix , ensuring all medical documentation and records are accurate, complete, and HIPAA compliant. Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments. Understand insurance breakdowns and benefits. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental software Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety standards; experience with medical imaging tools like 3D scanners is preferred. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
