Located in San Antonio, Texas, we are a busy and established family dental practice that is looking to add another full time Dental Hygienist to our amazing dental family! What we offer: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Monthly hygiene and office bonus potentials Paid time off (after 90 days) Health/Vision insurance 401K Paid Holidays Ideal Candidate: 3+ years experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist Good communicator that quickly builds rapport with patients and team members Enjoys teaching patients about their oral hygiene and is able to pre-heat patients on dental needs Treats all patients according to their dental needs - healthy mouth to complex periodontal disease Team player that is willing to step in and help where needed to keep the office flowing and ensures the patients have the best experience possible *Must have an active RDH License in the State of Texas to be considered * Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:45 am-5:00pm Fridays (two per month) - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Responsibilities: Create a welcoming and soothing environment for every patient Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings, check oral health history and review medical history at each appointment Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries and periodontitis Complete dental prophylaxis and scaling/root planning, apply fluoride and sealants Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care Give instructions to patients after dental procedures Take digital X-rays and digital wellness scans Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for - we can't wait to meet you!
