Salaries start at $34/hour. We look forward to hearing from you! Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to support our practice’s commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Assist the doctor during various procedures, including surgical and restorative treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy in documentation and medical coding. Provide chairside assistance by taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring their comfort throughout treatment. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry to effectively support diverse treatment plans. Preferred Skills Proficiency with Dentrix (or other EMR systems) for efficient record management. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards within a dental setting. Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanners. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation practices. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with medical imaging procedures relevant to dental care.
