Position Overview The ideal hygienist for Avalon Dental is clinically skilled, patient-focused, positive, and team-oriented. We are looking for someone who: Treats patients like family Is gentle, compassionate, and confident Thrives in a collaborative team atmosphere Values efficiency while maintaining quality care Enjoys educating and encouraging patients Helps create a comfortable experience for anxious patients Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, SRP, periodontal maintenance, and fluoride treatments Take digital radiographs and intraoral images Conduct thorough periodontal charting and assessments Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and treatment recommendations Assist doctors in identifying and discussing treatment needs Maintain accurate clinical documentation Utilize Eaglesoft practice management software for scheduling, charting, clinical notes, and patient documentation Sterilize and maintain operatory equipment according to OSHA and infection control standards Help create a positive and efficient patient experience from start to finish Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to ensure excellent patient care Qualifications Current Florida Dental Hygienist license Local anesthesia certification preferred CPR certification Experience with Eaglesoft practice management software preferred Strong communication and patient education skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work efficiently while providing compassionate care Experience with digital radiography and dental software preferred Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to grow and learn Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Work Location: In person
