Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Assess patient oral health by examining teeth, gums, and soft tissues, and document findings accurately. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while following aseptic techniques to ensure safety. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice. Monitor vital signs and review medical records to ensure patient safety during treatments. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Looking for part-time to full-time hygienist, depending upon applicant.
