Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using medical imaging tools. Deliver high-quality general dentistry services such as fillings, crowns, bridges, prosthodontics, root canal therapy (endodontics), dental extractions, and oral surgery procedures. Provide pediatric dentistry services with a gentle approach tailored to children and adolescents, ensuring comfort and trust during treatments. Utilize dental terminology accurately to explain procedures clearly to patients and ensure proper documentation in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures. Use dental fabrication techniques for crowns or prostheses when necessary, ensuring precise fit and function. Maintain detailed medical documentation, including patient care notes, treatment plans, and medical records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar systems. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless four-handed dentistry workflows that enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques related to endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry to provide innovative care options. Experience Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health is required for accurate documentation and communication. Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards including aseptic technique and sterilization processes aligned with OSHA guidelines. Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontic fabrication, and oral surgeries is highly desirable. Ability to assess patient needs effectively through comprehensive examinations and develop personalized treatment plans that prioritize patient care.
