Duties Perform general dental procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and prosthodontics to restore and maintain oral health. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental histories, to develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize dental imaging techniques such as X-rays to diagnose oral conditions accurately while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques. Perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery procedures with precision and care. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Collaborate with the dental team using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency. Manage dental records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms for seamless documentation and scheduling. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies to promote long-term oral health. Experience Proven experience in general dentistry within a busy dental clinic environment is required. Proficiency with dental office management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or comparable systems is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and medical imaging techniques. Experience performing pediatric dentistry procedures and managing pediatric patients is a plus. Demonstrated ability in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy (endodontics), prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical records management is essential. Prior experience in a fast-paced dental office setting that emphasizes patient care excellence is highly desirable.
