Dental Assistant (X-Ray Certified) - Dr. Bakir Family and Cosmetic Dentistry - Towson, MD

We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate is X-ray certified in Maryland, possesses excellent chairside manner, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Schedule Monday – Thursday: 8:00AM – 5:00 PM One Friday per month: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Qualifications & Skills Active Maryland State Board Radiation Technologist certification REQUIRED Min 2yr General Dental Experience (including endo/oral surgery) 1yr Intraoral 3D Scanning for Dentures, Guards, Invisalign etc. Strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and infectious control standards Excellent Nonbiased Chairside Manner Ability to take high-quality dental impressions Skilled in independently fabricating temporary crowns and bridges Familiarity with Implant Terminology Experience with fast perio & hard tissue charting during dental examinations Familiarity with OpenDental software is a plus Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Friendly, professional, and patient-focused demeanor Willingness to cross-train for front office responsibilities as needed Key Responsibilities Prepare Ops and patients for Dental Procedures Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures Take unassisted dental X-rays in compliance with Maryland regulations Maintain accurate & detailed patient records Sterilize and maintain instruments and the sterilization area Restock and track clinic supplies Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment Support patient education by assisting with treatment plan presentation and explanation Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience throughout treatment Comfortable Following up with Pts regarding next appointment Comfortable communicating with labs regarding pt cases This position is ideal for a motivated Dental Assistant seeking long-term growth within a supportive, collaborative, and patient-focused dental practice.
