Duties Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, Invisalign, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop X-ray images, utilizing advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners when necessary. Manage electronic dental records in systems such as Open Dental accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical history. Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique, vital signs measurement, and dental terminology communication to support efficient workflows. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote long-term dental wellness. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in dental assisting techniques and clinical procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards. Familiarity with Open Dental; experience with dental coding and documentation is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare providers. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with pediatric patients is a plus. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional experience in endodontics or orthodontics are advantageous.
