Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chair side Dental Assistant to join our family dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability and desire to work efficiently with patients of all ages. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take digital X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when required. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols throughout the clinic. Skills Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in general dentistry, Especially chairside experience Familiarity with dental coding/documentation is advantageous. Strong understanding of dental terminology as well as anatomy knowledge to support clinical tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and the dental team professionally. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
